Plagiochila pseudopoeltii Inoue (Plagiochilaceae), a new distribution record to the bryoflora of Kashmir Himalaya, India

Abstract

Plagiochila pseudopoeltii, a leafy liverwort is reported here for the first time from Kashmir Himalaya. The species was collected from Dachigam National Park, Srinagar district, and grows on moist soil as well as on the tree trunk. A detailed illustrated account of the species has been provided to validate the new distribution record and facilitate its easy identification.
