Pohlia leucostoma (Bryaceae): A New Addition to Indian Bryoflora

Abstract

Pohlia leucostoma (Bosch & Sande Lac.) M. Fleisch. has been identified and described as a new addition to the bryoflora of India from Govind Wildlife Sanctuary, Uttarkashi, Uttarakhand. The taxon is characterized by acrocarpous, bright green, glossy plants with linear and filiform leaf propagules with 1-2 peg-like leaf primordia, forming clusters in leaf axils at the apex of stem.
