Lectotypification of Acilepis pulneyensis (Gamble) Kottaim. (Asteraceae), a Rare Stenoendemic of Southern Western Ghats, Southern India

Abstract

Vernonia pulneyensis Gamble (Asteraceae) was transferred to the genus Acilepis D. Don by Kottaimuthu (2015), citing Fyson’s specimen at K (K000814763) as the lectotype of Acilepis pulneyensis (Gamble) Kottaim., but it is not in accordance with the Art.7.11 of ICN. Therefore, the specimen at K (K000814765!) is designated here as the lectotype of Acilepis pulneyensis (Gamble) Kottaim. The other duplicates of the same gathering are the isolectotypes of A. pulneyensis as per the Art. 9.3., 9.17 of ICN.
