Abstract

Pharmacognostic studies of the root and rhizome of Angelica glauca Edgew., a plant of promising drug value is presented. The present study deals with the distribution, uses, collection and commerce, macroscopical and microscopical characters of the' root and rhizome, microchemical tests, study of the pondered drug and physical constants.
