Abstract

The lndian Botanic Garden, Howrah and the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew are very much involved chiefly on the study and distribution of economic plants though they were not founded for the same purpose. The paper deals wtth relationship of the two gardens for the last two centuries in undertaking plant introductions of useful exotic species in particular.
